Aditi knows what it takes to have a successful career and live a fulfilling life. She has now dedicated her life to helping others achieve this too.
I was born in Kolkata, India and studied in Bangalore, finally studying Fashion Designing at Raffles University, Singapore. At that time, my father was one of the largest Industrialists in Bangalore and was even awarded by the President of India. I have always been independent and supportive to all friends and family. In 1997, I lost my 4 year younger brother to heart failure when he was 12 years old. This was a life altering experience. He truly meant everything to me. In 2001, I had agreed to an arranged marriage at the age of 19 and went to live in the UK with my husband. Being exposed to a new country was a real eye opener and it helped me gain a greater understanding and appreciation for different cultures, mindsets, religions and beliefs.
In 2002, my eldest son was born and today he is a graduate in Economics from UCL, London. My husband and I started our independent careers when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2005. We expanded our businesses throughout the UK. In 2010, my second son was born and he has grown up to be a strong and independent person.
From there onwards, me and my husband setup and operated multiple companies in Europe, North America, Middle East & India with some of the companies employing over 1000's of staff.
I set up Aditi Poddar Foundation (APF), a charity dedicated to underprivileged children in India. In this process, I relocated to many countries all over the World with my family and being able to handle the planning and mental stress is something I was accustomed to.
I found helping my friends deeply satisfying and it also helped me realise that despite our diverse journeys, we all share a common desire for safety, a sense of belonging, and a feeling of significance which has inspired me to expand my knowledge and help people around the world. This is why I have now dedicated my life to help others.
